1.
What is DNA?
DNA is the genetic substance within the human
chromosomes that carries the hereditary instruction
for producing proteins. All human beings bear
a basic resemblance to one another because of
their shared human heredity. Each individual inherits
a different combination of traits, such as height,
hair, eye and skin color. Chromosomes consist
chiefly of protein and a substance called deoxyribonucleic
acid, commonly known as DNA.
